Zasz

Zasz, sickness aka Tim Zimmermann, is an American Progressive Rock composer and vocalist. Entirely self taught, Tim has worn many hats over the last six years as not only a singer and composer but also an accomplished drummer, pianist, and digital music programmer. Over the course of his career, Tim has written and produced two albums, the newest being “Destiny Beside the Great Divide”, which is the precursor to his newest venture: a full feature progressive Opera.

Tim adopted the name Zasz in 2006, when he started composing fully orchestrated Progressive Rock songs on his computer in Philadelphia, PA. After lining up a band, Timtook the act on the road and played several shows in and around Philadelphia. In 2009, he and pianist Dan Shyles moved to Nashville, TN, and have since been playing there and on the road. He has extensive touring experience, not only as Zasz, but as a member of the US Army Band, performing in their rock ensemble as lead vocalist from 2004 til 2010.

Tim met Chizzy and the rest of MusicIsMyBusiness through a mutual friend, and as the “Rock” element of the group, he loves most being able to fuse rock and hip hop in a classy and refined way. He believes that Run It Back is only the beginning, and continues to write and record for the company while working on his Opera, as well as playing shows in Nashville as Zasz.
